• Active Family Holiday in Hidden Transylvania

You can easily fill a week in the Apuseni Mountains. Stay in a traditional home, with a friendly courtyard, perfect for you children to play in. The life goes in slow motion and you will see horse and cart on roads and people share news on the benches in front of their houses.

Nor far away from where you will stay, visit a lovely lady who will show you how they do egg painting here, before you get to try it out yourself. Move onwards to another local lady to learn more about the tradition of working with clay. Of course you will get to try it an make your own souvenir!

Spend a day cycling. Pack your bags with food and drinks and head off for a cycling trip. Village to village.Great the people that you pass, and get close to the daily life. Enjoy the views.

Visit one or two caves. In one of the caves you can gaze into the big gallery in search for bats… It is home to thousands of bats, so keep your head low! The other cave is known as the crystal cave, and as the name imply, it is very beautiful. From here, we drive into the forest to visit a trout farm and our lunch!

It is not far to the river, and here you can try out the rafting or paddling. Finish the day with Via Farrata, if you dare… or go on truffle hunting!

One day should also be spent by your home for the week. Learn to cook the local food with guidance by your hosts. Or visit the neighbor for a talk and a refreshment.

It is plenty to do here for the whole family! A perfect family holiday!
