• Beach walk holiday in the Gambia

The first day will be spent on the north bank, where you will walk the stretch of Jinack island. A remote peaceful place, where you would not know where to start from unless you were told! Spend the night at Jinack, before you take a pirogue boat - or the ferry - to cross River Gambia to south bank and the capital, Banjul.

After passing Banjul and reaching Cape Point, you will have a day og two passing the busy tourist area. Here you will pass hotel after hotel, and a rather crowded beach. It will slowly quiet down as you keep on walking.

Pass fishing villages, remote beaches with only a shack that serves as a bar and enjoy a fish and chips freshly prepared and served with a cold drink. Could you ask for more?

Every now and then a local pass you as he or she are the way to get their fish of the day or on other missions. Learn about the coast of the Gambia that has its struggle, beautiful and peaceful, as it is. Stay at small boutique hotels and eco lodges.

We know the beach stretch and would be happy to craft your walking holiday!
