• Village trek in the Hills

This trip takes you to pokhara and further on into the mountains. You will meet village communities in the hills and their wonderful culture, nature and friendliness. You will visit the highest view point at Mohare hill (3300m). From Mohare you may enjoy views of the spectacular himalayan panorama.

Date: To be arranged on request. From Five to Twelve days, depending on route.

Group size: From two to twelve people.

Day 1: Arrival Nepal and Pokhara
Welcome to Nepal and Pokhara. We will meet and greet you at the airport and transfer to your hotel. We hightly recommend to enjoy a massage at Seeing Hands (blind masseurs) before the briefing (pending on your flight arrival).
After check in and some time to relax, we will have a short briefing about the trip followed by a welcome dinner – great introduction to the Nepali cuisine! Overnight at your guesthouse.

Day 2: Pokhara to Galeshwor and Bas Kharka (1525m) 3 hours
After breakfast we will drive to Galeshwor via Beni. From Beni the trek starts and goes up to Bas Kharka. You will cross the river Kali Gandaki en route. Dinner and overnight in a homestay.

Day 3: Nagi (2300m) 5-6 hours
After breakfast, we continue our trek to a Pun Magar settlement. At this place we can explore the village, its organic farm school and paper making places. Dinner and overnight in a community lodge/homestay.

Day 4: Mohare Danda (3300m) 6-7 hours
Breakfast before we trek through forests of oaks, bamboos and rhododendrons to Mohare hill. This is the highest peak during the trek, and from here enjoy stunning view of one of the longest chains of mountains. Be sure you do not miss the sunset and sunrise, as the mountains are simply an amazing sight. Dinner and overnight in a community lodge/homestay.

Day 5: Danda Kharka (2800m) 2 – 3 hours
Breakfast at your homestay. This is a little bit more relaxing day. We take a short descend down which brings us to Danda Kharka, located in the middle of beautiful rhododendrons forest. Dinner and overnight in a community lodge/homestay.

Day 6: Tikot (2300m) 5-6 hours
In the morning we enjoy a wonderful breakfast before we pack our things again and are ready for another day! We treks down to this another beautiful Magar settlement, Tikot. Dinner and overnight in a community lodge/homestay.

Day 7: Tikot to Pokhara (3-4 hours)
Trek comes to an end after a short and steep descends to Kaligandaki River. We cross the bridge and drive back to Pokhara. Our wonderful trekking experience has come to an end. In Pokhara we can enjoy the afternoon, maybe a massage is what you need now? Farewell dinner in the evening. Overnight at your guesthouse.

Day 8 : Back to Kathmandu
The day is free day until departure to Kathmandu. We recommend that you to combine this trip with one of our other short “top picks of Nepal”. Why not stay a couple of nights longer in Pokhara and visit an organic coffee farm or do more adventure like paragliding?
