Kathmandu is more than a short stop along your journey  - it is a place where you can easily spend a few days extra. the number and varieties of activities are endless!

For many travelers legendary Kathmandu is just a gateway to enter Nepal and to get to their next destination. But, it is well worth to extend your stay in Kathmandu. Kathmandu Valley offers a range of activities like walking trips that connects villages, nature reserves, holy places and nice views of the valley. Is momos your favourite food? You can learn how to make it! What about enjoying your lunch with nuns, or see Kathmandu from above at sunset? You can also find several resorts beautifully nestled in the nature.

Let us take the back alley to the holy places. Visit the baazars and get first hand information how locals use certain items. Be present in Bhaktapur at dawn; see the town wake up for a new day. Try to make you own pottery (it is not easy!), visit an organic farm, get an insight to the working Nepali, learn to paint like a lama or get an insight to how a day as a monk would be. The possibilities are endless; you just need to take the time to explore.
